Two Teenagers Rushed to Hospital After Stabbing in Holborn

Two teenagers have been taken to hospital following a stabbing in Holborn during the early hours of this morning.

The incident happened on Bloomsbury Way at around 2.06am, prompting a large emergency response from the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance trauma team.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:

“We were called at 2.06am today (12 August) to reports of a stabbing on Bloomsbury Way, Holborn.

We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an incident response officer and a paramedic from our tactical response unit. We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance.

Our first paramedic arrived on scene in three minutes.

We treated two teenagers for stab wounds and took them to a major trauma centre as a priority.”

The condition of the victims is not yet known. Metropolitan Police officers are understood to have cordoned off the area while enquiries are carried out.

Met spokesperson said:

‘Police were called at 02.06am on Tuesday, 12 August by the London Ambulance Service to an alleged stabbing on New Oxford Street, Camden.

‘Two teenage boys, aged 16 and 17, were found at the scene with serious injuries. Both were taken to hospital where they were assessed to be non-life threatening.

‘Enquiries continue and no arrests have been made. If you have information that could help police, please contact 101 quoting 558/12Aug.’
