Two teenage boys have been arrested following a stabbing on Worthing seafront earlier this month. Police swooped after reports of a knife attack in broad daylight.
Knife-Wielding Chase Sparks Panic
The drama unfolded just after 1pm on Wednesday, 1 October. Witnesses saw three teenagers – one armed with a knife – chasing another along Marine Parade near West Street. The victim, an 18-year-old man, suffered a hand injury and was rushed to hospital before being discharged.
Two Suspects Bailed Amid Ongoing Probe
Officers arrested two boys aged 16 and 17 from Worthing on suspicion of wounding with intent. Both have been released on conditional bail until 5 January as detectives continue their investigation.
“This was a serious incident that happened in daylight hours on Worthing seafront, when there would have been a lot of people around,” said Detective Constable Darran Newman. “We’re urging anyone with any information to please come forward.”
