Two Taken to Hospital After Crash Near Fish Roundabout in Erith

Two people have been taken to hospital following a crash involving two lorries and a car near the iconic De Luci Fish Roundabout in Erith today (Monday, April 28).

Queens Road was closed for around two hours after emergency services were called to the junction with James Watt Way at approximately 10.36am.

The collision resulted in minor injuries to the driver of the car and their passenger, who were treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service crews before being transported to hospital for further assessment.

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said:

We were called at 10.36am this morning (Monday 28 April) to reports of an incident at the junction of James Watt Way and Queens Road, Erith.
We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response car.
We treated two patients at the scene, before taking them to hospital.”

The Metropolitan Police also confirmed their attendance alongside the London Fire Brigade.

A police spokesperson said:

Officers were joined by London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service at the junction of James Watt Way and Queens Road, where two lorries and a car had been in collision.
The driver of the car and their passenger were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
No arrests have been made. Enquiries are ongoing.”

Queens Road has since fully reopened and traffic in the area has returned to normal.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dashcam footage to come forward.
