Teenager Charged Following Attempted Robberies in Sheerness

On Tuesday 30 April 2024, officers from Kent Police’s Proactive Targeting Team were on patrol in Eurolink Way when they saw a VW Golf they suspected was being used in the supply of drugs.

The vehicle was located parked in Crown Quay Lane a short time later and the constables approached and spoke to the two occupants. A search was completed and a mobile phone plus around £1,500 in cash was seized. A further search led to the recovery of 17 deals of suspected cocaine and the two men were arrested.

Jack Humphries, 25, of Colonels Lane, Boughton-under-Blean and Billy Willett, 30, of Tettenhall Way, Faversham, were later charged by investigators from North Kent CID, with possessing cocaine with intent to supply. The latter was also charged with possessing criminal property (namely the seized cash). They appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court where Mr Willett was remanded and Mr Humpries was bailed to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday 31 May.
