Two Men remanded after Cash in Transit Robbery and Burglary in Southampton

Detectives in Southampton have charged two men following investigations into a burglary in Shirley and cash-in-transit robbery in Totton. Robert Yeo, 34, Winchfield Close, Southampton has been charged and remanded with non-dwelling burglary and using or acquiring criminal property, contrary to the Proceeds of Crime Act. Ricky Severn, 30, Alder Road, Southampton has also been charged and remanded with using or acquiring criminal property, contrary to the Proceeds of Crime Act. The charges come after two incidents in Hampshire. The first happened when a cash box containing £10,500 was stolen from a G4S driver at the Nationwide Bank on Commercial Road in Totton just after midnight on September 7. The second was when the New Century Bingo Club on Shirley Road in Southampton was broken into between September 29 and September 30 and over £41,000 worth of damage was caused. Both men appeared before Southampton Magistrates and have been remanded into custody
