Two men have been locked up for running a drug supply ring in Hove, linked to the notorious ‘Jo Jo Hove’ line.

Anas Elorby, 25, from england/england/croydon/”>croydon/”>Croydon, and Moteeb Ahmad, 26, with no fixed address, were sentenced at Lewes Crown Court on 11 September after pleading guilty to multiple drug supply offences.

Police Snag Huge Drug Haul in Hove

Both Elorby and Ahmad had previous convictions for class A drug supply from 2022. The police investigation kicked off in May when officers stopped a suspicious 20-year-old in Brighton for possession with intent to supply class A drugs and carrying a blade. This arrest triggered a search of a Down Terrace address, where officers uncovered phones including one with drug price lists linked to ‘Jo Jo Hove’. Detectives quickly traced Elorby as the ringleader.

The crackdown climaxed on 7 August when officers raided a property in Brunswick Terrace, Hove. They found a stash of drugs Worthworth over £6,000, including cocaine, MDMA, meth, ketamine, and cannabis. Multiple phones and £1,200 cash were also seized.

Jail Sentences Delivered

Both men were arrested on-site and charged. Elorby faced multiple counts including being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and possession of criminal property. Ahmad faced similar charges.

Elorby was sentenced to four and a half years behind bars, while Ahmad picked up four years and three months.

Police Say More Busts Are Coming

“I am pleased that the sentencing given reflects the seriousness of the offences committed repeatedly by these two men,” said PC Emily Begley. “We are committed to our work in disrupting drug supply in Brighton and across Sussex. Our priority continues to be catching criminals and Keepingkeeping communities safe.”
