Kidnap Investigation: Two Men Arrested During Police Operation in Blackfen Road

A pre-planned police operation in Sidcup has resulted in the arrest of two men on suspicion of kidnap, the Metropolitan Police has confirmed.

The arrests took place at around 5:00pm on Wednesday, 16 July, when officers carried out a targeted operation on Blackfen Road.

Linked to Separate London Kidnap Allegation

The arrests are linked to an ongoing investigation into a kidnap allegation that was first reported in another part of London on Friday, 11 July.

“Two men, aged 23 and 28, were arrested on suspicion of kidnap,” a Met Police spokesperson said.
“They remain in police custody pending further enquiries.”

Police have confirmed there are no outstanding victims connected to the investigation at this time.

No Further Details Released

Due to the sensitive nature of the case, the Metropolitan Police has not disclosed further details about the initial allegation or the specific area where it was reported.

“The investigation remains ongoing,” the spokesperson added.

Anyone with information about serious crime is urged to contact police via 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
