Two Dead and Multiple Injured in Wave of Stabbings and Shootings

A deadly and violent weekend has left two men dead and at least 11 others injured following a string of serious assaults, stabbings and a shooting across multiple London boroughs, according to the Metropolitan Police.

The incidents, which spanned from Friday 5 July to Sunday 7 July, unfolded in Neasden, Erith, Chingford, Willesden, Vauxhall, Hillingdon, and Croydon.

Double Stabbing in Erith – Two Girls Arrested

At 3pm on Saturday (6 July), a 47-year-old woman and an 18-year-old girl were stabbed in The Nursery, near Arthur Street in Erith. Both were rushed to hospital. The woman sustained life-changing injuries to her abdomen. The girl remains hospitalised in an unknown condition.

Two female suspects were arrested – one on suspicion of attempted murder, and the other on the same charge plus possession of Class A drugs and robbery. Both remain in custody.

Shooting in Neasden – Man Hospitalised

A 30-year-old man was shot in Tanfield Avenue, Neasden, at around 9pm on Sunday (7 July). He was treated at the scene and later taken to hospital. His injuries are not life-threatening. No arrests have yet been made.

Fatal Stabbing in Chingford – 26-Year-Old Dies

Just after 9.10pm on Saturday (6 July), emergency services found a man with stab wounds on Chingford Mount Road. Despite the efforts of paramedics and trauma teams, 26-year-old Tyler Haywood was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made, and a murder investigation is ongoing.

Willesden Shop Knife Attack – One Man Injured

At 11:50am on Sunday (7 July), police were called to High Road, Willesden, following reports of a man with a knife threatening a shop worker near Pound Village. A man was found with a slash wound to his face and taken to hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening.

No arrests have been made.


Man Charged with Vauxhall Murder

Daniel Manuel, 32, was fatally stabbed at a home in Bondway, Vauxhall at around 5.30am on Friday (5 July).

Abdul Kareem Fawaz, 35, of Bondway, was charged with murder and possession of a knife on 6 July. Another man, 33, arrested at the scene, was later bailed. A second man, 35, also remains under investigation.

Northwood Triple Stabbing – Three Teenagers Hurt and Arrested

A violent brawl in Joel Street, Northwood Hills just after 1pm on Sunday (7 July) left three teenagers stabbed. All were taken to hospital.

A 19-year-old, whose injuries were not life-threatening, was discharged and arrested on suspicion of affray. The other two, aged 17 and 18, also remain in hospital and have likewise been arrested for affray.


Teen Stabbed in Croydon – Police Appeal for Witnesses

Just after midnight on Friday (5 July), a 16-year-old boy was stabbed outside a home on Addington Road, Croydon. He remains in a stable condition in hospital. No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.


Police Appeal for Calm

The Metropolitan Police has launched multiple investigations and urged calm amid growing public concern.

A spokesperson said: “We are dealing with a number of complex investigations across London and are doing all we can to bring those responsible to justice. We urge anyone with information, CCTV, or footage to come forward immediately.”
