Two brothers have been jailed for a total of 31 years after raping vulnerable girls in Rotherham 18 years ago

Mark Evans, 37, and Robert Evans, 40, preyed on young victims between 2006 and 2008, when they were just 18 and 21.

The pair groomed, manipulated and plied their victims with drugs and alcohol before subjecting them to horrific sexual assaults.

Following an NCA investigation, they were convicted of multiple offences, including rape, on 4 December.

Today, Mark was sentenced to 14 years, while Robert received 17 years behind bars.

These survivors have shown extraordinary bravery in securing justice and thanks to their courage and the NCA’s work, these predators are finally facing the consequences.

If you’ve experienced sexual abuse, no matter how long ago, you can report it by calling 101 or speaking to officers at your local police station. You’re not alone.
