West Midlands Police have apprehended two individuals after a carjacking incident in Birmingham’s Harborne district this morning, December 9.
The incident unfolded at around 01:45 on Metchley Lane, where a BMW convertible was stolen after the occupants, a man and a woman, were assaulted. Upon receiving the report, police officers swiftly responded and managed to bring the vehicle to a halt in the same vicinity a short time later.
A 29-year-old man, suspected of robbery, was arrested at the scene and subsequently transported to the hospital for assessment. He will be questioned in due course. Additionally, a 38-year-old woman was detained for robbery and taken into custody.
Remarkably, neither of the car’s occupants sustained significant injuries during the ordeal.
