Tributes have been paid to a dad-of-two who died following a collision on the M3 motorway Tony Smith, 37, of Firtree Way, Southampton, was the driver of a Mitsubushi ASX 4 which was involved in the collision between junction 8 and 9. His car was in collision with a Skoda Superb just after 6.30am, which resulted in him getting out of his vehicle. It was at this point he was struck by a third vehicle, a Citroen Berlingo. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have today paid tribute to him. They said: “Tony was a loving son, brother, father and friend, who was always happy to help others when they were in need.
