A heart-wrenching incident involving a collision between a car and a horse-and-trap has resulted in the tragic loss of two lives, including the horse, as authorities conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the devastating accident.

According to Gloucestershire Police, the incident unfolded at approximately 23:35 BST on Friday, occurring on the A38, just north of junction 1 of the M50. The collision proved fatal for both occupants of the horse-and-trap, both hailing from Worcestershire, and the horse itself. All three were declared deceased at the scene, leaving a community in mourning for the sudden and tragic loss.

The driver of the other vehicle involved, identified as a blue Volkswagen Golf, was reportedly unharmed in the collision.
