Tragic Accident Claims Life of Man on M3 Near Hook – UKNIP

A tragic accident on the M3 has claimed the life of a man in his 50s, who was fatally hit by a lorry on Wednesday.

The incident occurred on the M3 motorway and was reported shortly before 1:30 pm. The collision involved two vehicles, a blue Audi Q5 and a blue BMW 320D. Both drivers made the decision to pull over onto the hard shoulder on the northbound carriageway near junction five.

Tragically, the BMW driver, a man hailing from Bracknell, who was in his 50s, exited his vehicle and was struck by a heavy goods vehicle (HGV). Despite the efforts of emergency responders, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene. His family has been informed of the heartbreaking incident.

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary is urging anyone who may have witnessed the collision or observed the vehicles involved in the moments leading up to the incident to come forward with information.
