Three teenagers have been arrested by officers investigating a disturbance in Deal
A suspect is to appear in court charged with stealing more than £2,000 worth of goods from Thanet shops

Shortly after 4.35pm on Tuesday 9 April 2024, Kent Police was called to report of an altercation involving a group of teenagers and a number of adults in the town’s High Street.

Patrols attended and two boys, aged 15 and 14, were arrested nearby on suspicion of affray. A 17-year-old girl has also since been arrested in connection with the incident.

Enquiries at the scene led to two people reporting assaults, a man and a teenage boy.

An investigation to establish the full circumstances is ongoing and officers would like to speak to anyone who was involved and has yet to come forward, or witnesses who saw what happened.
