Three men have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Tesco Express on Chapel Lane, Farnborough. The incident occurred at 1:54 PM on 18 September, when a container of cigarettes was stolen from the store. A staff member sustained a minor injury to her arm during the robbery.
The suspects fled the scene in a Renault Grand Scenic, prompting a police search. Officers located the vehicle on Bridge Road, Farnborough, around 10 PM. Following a search of an address on Cottage Gardens, the three men were arrested shortly after midnight.
During the arrest of one of the suspects, two police officers were assaulted.
- A 31-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of robbery.
- A 22-year-old man of no fixed abode was arrested on suspicion of robbery, two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker, and possession of a Class B controlled drug.
- An 18-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of a Class B controlled drug.
All three suspects remain in custody as investigations continue.
