The supermarket has relaunched its popular Clubcard Challenges promotion, which previously ran in May this year. This initiative allows selected Clubcard members to earn significant bonus points by completing specific spending challenges.

How to Save Money with Tesco Clubcard

To participate in the Clubcard Challenges, customers need to be specifically chosen by Tesco. Here’s how you can find out if you’re eligible:

• Check Your Emails: Look for an invitation from Tesco.
• Check the Tesco Grocery and Clubcard App: If eligible, you should see a banner notification and further details on your individual challenges. If you don’t currently have the app, you can download it for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

How Does the Tesco Challenge Work?

According to MoneySavingExpert, the Clubcard Challenges will run from Monday, July 15 to Sunday, August 25. Selected shoppers will be offered 20 spending challenges and can complete up to 10 of them.

Details of the challenges will be sent via email or displayed in the Tesco app. Participants need to manually select which challenges to apply to their account, with the option to deselect and choose another if they change their mind. Challenges will be personalized based on individual spending habits. For example, previous challenges included spending £20 on Tesco’s summer BBQ range over the six-week period or spending £10 on plant-based ready meals.

Completing all 10 challenges can earn shoppers up to 5,000 Clubcard points, equivalent to £50 to spend in Tesco. However, MoneySavingExpert notes that these points can be worth even more when redeemed with Tesco’s “Reward Partners.” For instance, 5,000 Clubcard points can be converted into £100 worth of vouchers for use at Cineworld, Pizza Express, Thorpe Park, and more.
