Teenagers and Man Arrested Following Stabbing at Edgware Road Station

British Transport Police (BTP) have released details of a stabbing that occurred at Edgware Road Underground Station earlier today, Tuesday, November 19.

Emergency services were called to the station shortly before 5 pm following reports of a serious assault. Paramedics attended the scene, and one person was taken to hospital with injuries consistent with being stabbed. The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

 

 

Two teenage boys, aged 16 and 17, along with a 20-year-old man, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. They remain in police custody while investigations continue.

Police Statement

Detective Chief Inspector Steve May said:
“Enquiries into this incident are ongoing, and passengers will see an increased police presence in the area as a result. The station will also remain closed.”

He urged anyone with information to come forward, adding:
“I urge any witnesses or anyone with information to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 513 of 19 November. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111.

Impact on the Station

Edgware Road Station remains closed as police conduct their investigation. Commuters are advised to seek alternative routes and expect delays in the area.

BTP continues to investigate the incident and assures the public that their safety remains a priority.
