Teenager in Custody After Brighton Knife Attack

A teenager has been charged after three people were injured in a knife incident in Brighton. The attack occurred on January 12 at around 11 pm when a group of friends were pursued on Gardner Street by two individuals.

The assault left an 18-year-old woman with injuries and two 20-year-olds, a man and a woman, with serious knife injuries. The severity of the injuries required immediate medical attention.

Following the incident, two 17-year-olds were arrested on January 13 and were subsequently bailed with strict conditions pending further enquiries.

Teenager in Custody After Brighton Knife Attack

On Wednesday, 5 June, a 17-year-old boy from Brighton, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was formally charged with two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, assault, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, and assaulting a police constable.

The teenager was remanded in custody from Brighton Magistrates’ Court on June 6, pending his next court appearance on June 11.
