Teenager Fighting for Life After Early Morning One-Car Crash in East Ayrshire

 

A teenager is fighting for his life following a serious one-car crash on the B743 in East Ayrshire. The 19-year-old driver of a blue Ford Focus was involved in the collision around 6:45 am on Friday, January 24.

The teenager was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with life-threatening injuries. His condition has been described as critical, and he remains under medical care as authorities continue their investigation.

Police Scotland are urging anyone who was in the area at the time of the crash to come forward with information. The crash has prompted an appeal for witnesses, especially those who may have dash-cam footage that could help clarify the circumstances of the incident.

Sergeant Chris McColm of the Road Policing Unit said, “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash, and we are keen to speak to anyone who can assist. If you were in the area around the time of the incident, please check your dash-cam footage to see if you have captured anything that could aid our investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0577 of Friday, 24 January 2025.

The investigation continues, and authorities are focused on determining the cause of the crash.
