17-Year-Old Boy Suffers Serious Injuries in Orchard Village Stabbing
Police have launched an urgent investigation after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed following an altercation on the Orchard Village Estate in Rainham, East London. The incident occurred just after 10:00 AM on Monday, May 26.
According to the Metropolitan Police, the youth sustained a stab wound to the thigh during a confrontation involving a group of young people on Lower Mardyke Avenue.

Community Response and Emergency First Aid
Eyewitnesses say the victim collapsed near residential flats, crying out for help. Concerned residents rushed from their homes to administer emergency first aid before paramedics arrived. Police officers were quick to assist and provided further life-saving care.
An air ambulance transported the teenager to hospital. He remains in a serious condition with potentially life-changing injuries, though his condition is not considered life-threatening at this time.

A Met Police spokesperson told the Havering Daily:
“A 17-year-old boy suffered a stab wound following a reported altercation in Lower Mardyke Avenue at around 10:09 on Monday, 26 May.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics and later taken to hospital where he remains. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, but may potentially be life-changing.
At this early stage of the investigation, no arrests have been made. A crime scene is in place while initial enquiries are conducted.”
