Teen hacked to death on Croydon bus

A murder investigation has been launched in Croydon after a teenage boy was stabbed to death on a bus. The victim, believed to be 17 years old, was knifed while the bus was travelling on Whitehorse Lane, in South Norwood , at about 8.30pm this evening Emergency services were called and the boy was found suffering from multiple injuries. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 9.07pm. Enquiries are under way to inform his next of kin,” a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said. Detectives have launched a murder investigation and part of Whitehorse Lane remains closed. No arrests have been made at this stage. A Section 60 Order, giving police extra stop and search powers, has been authorised until 1.10pm on Monday (March 9) in Selhurt, Thornton Heath, Bensham Manor, South Norwood, Woodside, Addington North and Addington South.
