Teen charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon

Detectives investigating the shooting of a man in Lambeth in February have charged a man with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon. Kieron Thompson, 18 of no fixed abode, was charged this morning (Saturday, 18 April). He was due to attend Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 18 April. The charges follow an incident in Wandsworth Road, SW8, shortly before 18.30hrs on 9 February after police were called to reports of gunshots heard on Wandsworth Road, SW8. Officers, including firearms officers, attended. An 18-year-old man was found suffering from gunshot and stab wounds. A 20-year-old man arrested as part of the investigation on 26 February has been released under investigation.
