Police are appealing for witnesses following a hit-and-run incident that left a 32-year-old woman with serious injuries. The incident occurred sometime between the evening of Saturday, December 2, and the early hours of Sunday, December 3, along Portland Road in Hove.
According to authorities, the woman was walking along Portland Road when she was struck by an unknown vehicle. The driver failed to stop at the scene, leaving the victim with a serious leg injury that required surgery. She remains hospitalised at this time.
Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has captured any relevant dash-cam, doorbell, or CCTV footage from the area at that time to come forward. Any information provided could be crucial in identifying the driver and bringing them to justice.
“We are appealing to anyone who was in the area of Portland Road between the hours of 10 pm on Saturday, December 2, and 3 am on Sunday, December 3, to come forward,” said a police spokesperson. “If you saw or heard anything suspicious, or if you have any dash cam, doorbell, or CCTV footage, please contact us.”
