Sussex Police Officer Denies Charges After Fatal Collision

In a hearing at the Old Bailey in London, PC Christopher Corker, a Sussex Police officer, has denied charges related to the death of a man struck by a patrol car in Peacehaven, East Sussex. The incident, which occurred just after 11.10pm on 30 April 2022, resulted in the death of 27-year-old Arthur Holscher-Ermert.

Sussex Police Officer Denies Charges After Fatal Collision

PC Corker, 40, from Shandon Road in Worthing, faced charges of causing death by dangerous driving and causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving. During the proceedings, he entered a plea of not guilty to both charges.

The court has granted PC Corker unconditional bail while he awaits trial, which is scheduled to commence on 5 August at the Old Bailey.
