‘Seized’ Operation Nets 95 Arrests in National Crackdown on County Lines and Violent Crime
A major joint operation targeting County Lines gangs, violent offenders, and drug traffickers has led to 95 arrests across multiple police force areas, including Sussex, following a three-day national initiative in April 2025.
Running from April 23 to 25, the Specialist Enforcement Unit (SEU) from Sussex Police joined forces with Thames Valley Police, the Metropolitan Police, Surrey, Essex, Bedfordshire, and British Transport Police.
In total, the operation resulted in:
- 95 arrests
- 15 weapons seized
- 38 drug seizures
- 65 vehicles seized
- £69,000 in cash recovered
Sussex Police Contributions and Arrest Highlights
Sussex officers made 15 arrests, conducted 15 vehicle stop checks, and seized one vehicle during the coordinated effort. Arrests in Sussex included:
- A 31-year-old man in West Sussex, arrested on suspicion of rape
- A 29-year-old wanted man detained in Horley for breaching a court-imposed community order
- Two people arrested for immigration offenses
- A Crawley man, 31, arrested for dangerous driving and drug offenses
- A 45-year-old Worthing resident arrested for Class A drug distribution; officers found a stash of suspected cocaine and significant cash at his home
Unified Intelligence and Regional Policing
The SEU continues to work proactively across Sussex roadways targeting individuals connected to high-harm crime, including sexual offences, robbery, and narcotics distribution.
Inspector Ollie Pullen, who led the Sussex operation, commented:
“This operation demonstrates the strength of our intelligence-sharing capabilities and what coordinated action across multiple force areas can achieve. Public reassurance and safety are our priority.”
