Suspected Thief Arrested and Stolen Parcels Recovered in Medway

A suspected thief has been promptly arrested after parcels were allegedly stolen from a block of flats in Medway.

Police Response

Kent Police received a report of a burglary in progress at an apartment complex near Maritime Way, Chatham, at 10:23 PM on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.

Officers quickly attended the scene and detained a man in his 30s from Bethnal Green, London.

Stolen Parcels Recovered

A search of the area led to the recovery of two parcels, and officers identified that several packages left in communal areas had allegedly been opened and their contents stolen.

The suspect was later bailed as investigations continue.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant information to contact Kent Police at 01634 792209, quoting reference 46/20135/25.
