Suspected class A drugs seized from Canterbury drugs raid

In response to residents’ concerns about anti-social behaviour and drug use in Canterbury, officers from the Community Policing Team at Kent Police carried out a search warrant and arrested two people. A residential address in Roper Road was searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act at around 11.30am on Friday 24 May 2019 where suspected class A drugs were seized. A 56-year-old woman from Canterbury and a 17-year-old boy from London were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs. Sergeant Richard Lorimer said: ‘This is just one of the ways in which we proactively tackle drug-dealing in the county and I hope it will reassure local residents that we will respond to people’s concerns and target those who are intent on breaking the law.’
