Suspected burglar tracked down within 20 minutes of Tunbridge Wells break-in
Witnesses sought: Altercation at New Romney bus stop involving man and teenagers

A suspected burglar has been tracked down and arrested within 20 minutes of a break-in at an address in Tunbridge Wells.

The man was detained as he tried to scale a fence, following a foot chase by officers during the early hours of Thursday 25 April 2024.

Police were called at 2.40am to a report of suspicious activity in Showfields Road. Attending patrols found a door to a residential address had been forced and the suspect was seen to flee. He was pursued by constables and by 3am had been arrested.

The man, aged 45 and from Tunbridge Wells, was taken into custody.
