Suspect Sought in Platform Assault

 

The New York Police Department (NYPD) is actively seeking a suspect in a serious assault that occurred on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center subway station.

According to official police reports, the incident took place at approximately 11:38 AM on the southbound D/N platform. Witnesses describe a verbal dispute that escalated when the suspect physically pushed the victim onto the subway tracks, potentially putting their life in grave danger.

The suspect fled the scene immediately after the assault, leaving the victim stranded on the tracks. Emergency responders quickly arrived and assisted the victim, though details about potential injuries have not been released.

The NYPD is urging anyone with information about the suspect or the incident to contact the police immediately. Anyone who recognizes the individual from the accompanying image is encouraged to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or submit tips anonymously online.
