A suspect is set to face court after being charged with imitation firearm offences following an arrest in Ashford.

Officers from Kent Police apprehended a man in Sheldwich Close on Wednesday afternoon as part of an ongoing investigation.

Shaquil Buckley, aged 27 and a resident of Sheldwich Close, Ashford, has been charged with two counts of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

He is scheduled to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 22 February.

The charges stem from an incident where two individuals known to the suspect were allegedly threatened at an address in Ashford on Sunday, 18 February.

The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
