Suspect Charged Over Sexual Offences Against Women at Ashford Gym

 

A man has been charged in connection with sexual offences against three women at a gym in Ashford. The suspect is set to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court following his arrest earlier this week.

The incident occurred shortly before 1 am on Tuesday, 22 October 2024, when a police officer on duty in the Eureka Park area was approached by a member of the public. The individual reported that a woman had been sexually assaulted by another gymgoer earlier in the evening at PureGym in Warren Retail Park.

Following initial enquiries, officers arrested Jordan Mutemeri, 23, of Guernsey Way, Ashford, in the vicinity. On Wednesday, 23 October, Mutemeri was charged with several offences, including sexual assault on a woman and outraging public decency involving two other women at the gym. Additionally, he was charged with possession of Class B drugs, possession of an offensive weapon, possession of a bladed article, and a public order offence.

Mutemeri has been remanded in custody and will face charges at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court.
