Surron Rider Arrested After Helicopter Pursuit in Merseyside
Surron Rider Arrested After Helicopter Pursuit in Merseyside

A rider was arrested and two bikes were seized following a dramatic police pursuit in Merseyside involving the force helicopter.

The pursuit ended when officers apprehended the rider of a Surron electric motorcycle. The rider was arrested on suspicion of multiple offences, and the bike was also seized at the scene.

In a surprising twist, a spectator who turned up to watch the aftermath was found riding a heavily modified — and illegal — motorcycle. Officers seized that bike too.

A police spokesperson said:

We will continue to take action against anyone riding illegally or dangerously. It’s about keeping our communities safe.

The operation underscores Merseyside Police’s tough stance on illegal and anti-social vehicle use, especially involving off-road and modified bikes.
