Stephen Yaxley-Lennon Charged Under Terrorism Act for Failing to Provide Mobile Phone PIN

Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, 41, of no fixed address, has been charged with one count of failing to provide the PIN for his mobile phone under Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act 2000. The charge follows an incident in Folkestone on Sunday, July 28, where Yaxley-Lennon was stopped by officers under the legislation.

Yaxley-Lennon has been bailed and is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on November 13, 2024.

Additionally, he was arrested at Folkestone Police Station at the direction of the High Court. He is also due to appear at Woolwich Crown Court on October 28, 2024.

Authorities have not yet provided further details regarding the nature of the investigation or the specific circumstances surrounding his arrest.
