Police were called to Rushey Green at 3:06am following reports of a stabbing. Emergency crews rushed to the scene and treated Sanchini for stab wounds. Despite their efforts, he later died in hospital.

A post-mortem confirmed Sanchini died from a stab wound to the chest. Specialist officers are supporting his family during this devastating time.

Family Pay Emotional Tribute to Loving Father

“In loving memory of a son, a father, and a cherished friend, our hearts are heavy,” said Sanchini’s family. “At just 27, he was a pillar of kindness and a devoted dad to his four-year-old daughter.

“He shared laughter and joy with all around him. His generosity and compassion touched friends, neighbours, and strangers alike. He will be deeply missed but lives on in the love and memories we hold.”

Murder Probe Underway – No Arrests Yet

The Met’s specialist crime command has launched a murder investigation. Detective Chief Inspector Rebecca Woodsford leads the inquiry, urging anyone with information to come forward.

“Our thoughts are with Sanchini’s loved ones at this heartbreaking time,” Woodsford said. “Knife crime has no place on our streets. We are working round the clock to find those responsible.”
