Small Building Fire in Margate Quickly Extinguished
Bedroom Fire in Ashford Extinguished by Fire Crews

The Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded to reports of a small fire in a building near Dane Hill, Margate this evening. The call came in at 5:24 PM, prompting the dispatch of two fire engines to the scene.

Firefighters, equipped with breathing apparatus, swiftly tackled the flames using hose reel jets. Support equipment, including a thermal imaging camera and a short extension ladder, was also utilized during the operation.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported. The fire was brought under control and extinguished by 5:56 PM.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire was caused by plastic cladding accidentally catching alight.
