Four people have been gunned down and at least 20 injured in a terrifying shooting at a packed breakfast bar in South Carolina.
Chaos Erupts at Willie’s Bar and Grill
Gunshots ripped through the busy Willie’s Bar and Grill on St Helena Island as crowds, including classmates at a reunion, enjoyed their morning. Panic spread as victims and bystanders scrambled for safety, some fleeing into nearby shops and buildings.

“Multiple victims and witnesses ran to the nearby businesses and properties seeking shelter from the gun shots. The circumstances of this incident are still under investigation. At this time, we know that at least 20 people were injured. Four were transported to area hospitals in critical condition and four victims were pronounced deceased at the scene. Names of victims will not be released at this time. The Sheriff’s Office is investigating persons of interest,” the statement said.
The authorities thanked multiple law enforcement agencies, fire departments, and EMS teams for their fast response. “This is a tragic and difficult incident for everyone,” they added, asking for patience as investigations continue.

- A shaken mother revealed, “My daughter was out there, she is shaken up.”
- Another witness said, “I had a customer come into my job who said he’s seen everything and he’s shaken up pretty bad.”
- One classmate said bitterly, “Couple of my classmates got shot… can’t have a good time no more without someone shooting the place up.”
- A devastated relative mourned, “I lost two little cousins tonight… can’t even go out anywhere anymore.”
Four of the injured remain in critical condition at local hospitals. Authorities have not yet disclosed the identities of those killed.
