Severe A27 Collision Near Arundel Under Investigation

Sussex Roads Policing Unit are currently investigating a severe two-vehicle collision that occurred this morning, February 15, on the A27 near Arundel, close to Shellbridge Road junction. Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene around 10 a.m., where they discovered a man in his 80s in a critical state. The injured individual was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care.

As a result of the accident, the A27 eastbound from Fontwell has been shut down, and traffic is being rerouted to the A29. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes as emergency personnel remain on site to manage the situation.

The police are appealing to the public for assistance in gathering more information about the incident. Witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage that could provide additional insights are strongly encouraged to come forward.
