Second Arrest Made in Groathill Road North Attempted Murder Case

Edinburgh City Centre Disruption After Serious Collision

Authorities have made a second arrest in connection with the attempted murder that occurred on Groathill Road North, Edinburgh. The incident took place on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, around 14:30. A 41-year-old man was seriously injured and transported to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.

The 39-year-old male arrested is scheduled to appear before the Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, June 10, 2024. This development follows the initial arrest of a 34-year-old suspect linked to the same incident.

Police continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the violent attack. Anyone with relevant information is urged to come forward and assist the authorities
