Russell Brand Questioned By Metropolitan Police Over Historical Sex Offences

British comedian and actor Russell Brand has been questioned by the Metropolitan Police following allegations of historical sex offences revealed in an investigation by the Sunday Times, the Times, and Channel 4’s Dispatches.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that a man in his 40s, identified as Brand, attended a south London police station on November 16. He was interviewed under caution by detectives in relation to three non-recent sexual offences, as reported by the Times newspaper.

The investigation, sparked by allegations of rape, sexual assaults, and emotional abuse against Brand, was initiated in September after the Met received multiple accusations. The claims, brought to light by the Times, Sunday Times, and Channel 4’s Dispatches, involve incidents allegedly occurring between 2006 and 2013.

Russell Brand has consistently denied these allegations, asserting that his relationships have “always” been consensual.
