Ringwood Man Admits to String of Shoplifting Offences

A 26-year-old man from Ringwood, Quincy Rufus Digby Hopkins, has admitted to a series of shoplifting offences committed across the town over the past month. Hopkins, who has no fixed address, appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday 18 September, where he pleaded guilty to seven counts of theft.

The shoplifting incidents occurred between Thursday 15 August and Tuesday 17 September at various stores in Ringwood. Hopkins was arrested following investigations into the thefts.

The court has remanded Hopkins on conditional bail, and sentencing is scheduled for Wednesday 20 November at Southampton Magistrates’ Court.
