A rider has been taken to hospital following a crash in Stamford Hill, North London, this evening (Wednesday, 24 April). Contrary to early reports, the driver of a nearby car did not strike the rider — the bike is believed to have skidded and fallen independently near the vehicle.
The incident occurred at around 8:28pm on Stamford Hill N16, causing significant disruption as emergency services rushed to the scene.

First responders from Hatzola emergency service arrived quickly to treat the injured rider, followed shortly by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS). The rider’s condition has not yet been publicly confirmed, but they were transported to hospital for further care.

Road Closures and Bus Disruptions
Stamford Hill remains blocked southbound at the junction with Clapton Common as officers from the Metropolitan Police investigate the circumstances of the crash. The area has been cordoned off while traffic accident investigators carry out their work.
Multiple bus routes are being diverted, including:
67, 76, 149, 243, 349, 476, and N73.
Transport for London has advised drivers and commuters to expect delays and use alternative routes where possible.
