Rider airlifted following Maidstone Collision

Officers appeal for witnesses to serious Maidstone collision Kent Police is appealing for witnesses to a serious collision in Maidstone. Officers were called to Loose Road, Maidstone at 5.50pm on Monday 14 May 2018 following a report of a collision involving a silver Peugeot Partner van, and a red and white Yamaha YZF R1 motorcycle. The motorcyclist was overtaking a line of static traffic when it was involved in a collision with the van. The driver of the bike was seriously injured and was flown to a London hospital with life threatening injuries. Anyone who witnessed the collision or who has Dash Cam footage is asked to call Kent Police’ Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538 quoting DC/072/18.b more to follow
