Replacement ATM to be fitted by the end of the Month following Ram Raid

A replacement cash machine for the one damaged in a ram-raid at Lloyds Bank in Bishop’s Waltham will be installed by the end of the month. The bank has been without an ATM since the thieves ripped it out but failed to steal it in February causing considerable damage to the building in the process. There had been speculation that it might not be replaced which led to question marks over the branch’s future, however the branch is not on the Lloyds’ current closure plan. A Lloyds Bank spokesperson said: ““All efforts are being made to have a replacement ATM in place as soon as possible. We currently anticipate this will be before the end of July at the latest. “We apologise to our customers for this disruption in service while the ATM was being replaced.”
