Thames Valley Police has issued a renewed public appeal for witnesses after PC Christopher Miller, a Roads Policing Unit officer, was critically injured in a serious hit-and-run collision.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:20 PM on Thursday, May 22, on B416 Bells Hill in Stoke Poges. PC Miller was involved in a collision with a white BMW, which failed to stop at the scene. He sustained life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition in hospital.
Public Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Detective Superintendent Will Crowther, Senior Investigating Officer, urged the public to come forward:
“I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the Stoke Poges area between 10 PM and 1 AM on the night of the incident and may have seen the white BMW or witnessed the crash.
“The vehicle is likely to have had front-end damage. If you have dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell footage that could be relevant, please contact us.”
Police Investigation and Arrests
The case is being handled by Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Department. Multiple arrests have been made:
- Two men, aged 28 and 38, from Slough, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. They remain in custody under an extended warrant of detention.
- A third man, aged 43, also from Slough, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and perverting the course of justice. He has been released on police bail.
- A 37-year-old woman, also from Slough, was arrested today (May 25) on suspicion of assisting an offender and perverting the course of justice. She remains in custody.
