Rape charge in Chatham

The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate has charged a man with sexual offences after a woman was raped in Chatham. Samuel Crabtree has been charged with rape, sexual assault and committing an offence with the intention of committing a sexual offence following the incident, which took place in Dock Road during the early hours of Sunday 14 July. The 30-year-old, of Cecil Road, Rochester, has been remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 17 July 2019.
