A man who carried out a series of distraction thefts across London in 2024 has been sentenced to 27 months in prison after an extensive investigation by law enforcement.
Grafian Caldararu, 43, targeted victims in cafes and bars, using distraction techniques to steal valuables. Over the course of the year, he was linked to at least eight thefts across multiple areas in the city.
Police launched an in-depth investigation into the incidents, ultimately identifying Caldararu as the perpetrator. Following his arrest, he was charged and subsequently convicted of the crimes.

Caldararu appeared in court recently, where he was sentenced to 27 months imprisonment for his offenses.
