Probe launched after till snatch in Dover

A suspected robber has been charged in connection with the theft of a till from a business near Dover. An investigation was launched by Kent Police after a cash register containing a quantity of cash was reported stolen from a pharmacy in Chilton Way in River on 15 May 2019. During the incident threats to harm a member of staff were also made. James Roberts, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with one count of robbery on Tuesday 28 May 2019. The 31-year-old appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court the following day where he was remanded in custody. The case will next be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 1 July
