Probe launched after derelict pub alight in Greenwich

Four fire appliances and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a derelict pub on Woolwich Road in Greenwich. Part of the ground floor was damaged by fire. There were no reported injuries. The Brigade was called at 8.39pm and the fire was under control by 9.18pm. Fire crews from East Greenwich and Plumstead fire stations attended the scene.
