Power Restored After Outage for Certain Gates at Atlanta Airport, Officials Say
Power has been fully restored at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport after a brief outage impacted several gates on Sunday evening. The incident occurred after an airline contractor accidentally drilled into a power line, affecting operations between Gates B24 and B36.
Airport officials took to social media at 4:37 p.m. to inform travelers about the outage. They assured that operations were being adjusted to minimize the impact and that crews were working to resolve the issue. By 5:58 p.m., officials announced that power had been restored, and all affected gates and concessionaires were operational.
This power outage follows the recent restoration of water service at the airport amid the city’s ongoing challenges with water main breaks, which have led to a boil water advisory for much of Atlanta.
