A man who held Police to ransom and threw roof tiles at groups of officers over the weekend has admitted the charges after appearing before court in Portsmouth this morning. Extensive damage was caused to vehicles and residents’ roofs in the road. After a five-hour stand-off with Police he agreed to come down. He was helped down by Police and firefighters using a ladder and an aerial ladder platform.
